Given guidance from Allah

does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing? {67} So, by thy Lord, without doubt, We shall gather them together, and (also) the Evil Ones (with them); then shall We bring them forth on their knees round about Hell; {68} Then shall We certainly drag out from every sect all those who were worst in obstinate rebellion against (Allah) Most Gracious. {69} And certainly We know best those who are most worthy of being burned therein. {70} Not one of you but will pass over it: this is, with thy Lord, a Decree which must be accomplished. {71} But We shall save those who guarded against evil, and We shall leave the wrong-doers therein, (humbled) to their knees. {72} When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them, the Unbelievers say to those who believe, "Which of the two sides is best in point of position? Which makes the best show in council?" {73} But how many (countless) generations before them have we destroyed, who were even better in equipment and in glitter to the eye? {74} Say: "If any men go astray, (Allah) Most Gracious extends (the rope) to them, until, when they see the warning of Allah (being fulfilled) - either in punishment or in (the approach of) the Hour,- they will at length realise who is worst in position, and (who) weakest in forces! {75} "And Allah doth advance in guidance those who seek guidance: and the things that endure, Good Deeds, are best in the sight of thy Lord, as rewards, and best in respect of (their) eventual return." {76} Hast thou then seen the (sort of) man who rejects Our Signs, yet says: "I shall certainly be given wealth and children?" {77} Has he penetrated to the Unseen, or has he taken a contract with (Allah) Most Gracious? {78} Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall add and add to his punishment. {79} To Us shall return all that he talks of and he shall appear before Us bare and alone. {80} And they have taken (for worship) gods other than Allah, to give them power and glory! {81} Instead, they shall reject their worship, and become adversaries against them. {82}

Fear Of Allah

We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),-

 (Surah Taha Verse 2 And 3 )

Who Rejected Allah ???

To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and the Day that the Hour of Judgment is established,- that Day will the dealers in Falsehood perish! {27} And thou wilt see every sect bowing the knee: Every sect will be called to its Record: "This Day shall ye be recompensed for all that ye did! {28} "This Our Record speaks about you with truth: For We were wont to put on Record all that ye did." {29} Then, as to those who believed and did righteous deeds, their Lord will admit them to His Mercy that will be the achievement for all to see. {30} But as to those who rejected Allah, (to them will be said): "Were not Our Signs rehearsed to you? But ye were arrogant, and were a people given to sin! {31} "And when it was said that the promise of Allah was true, and that the Hour- there was no doubt about its (coming), ye used to say, 'We know not what is the hour: we only think it is an idea, and we have no firm assurance.'" {32} Then will appear to them the evil (fruits) of what they did, and they will be completely encircled by that which they used to mock at! {33} It will also be said: "This Day We will forget you as ye forgot the meeting of this Day of yours! and your abode is the Fire, and no helpers have ye! {34} "This, because ye used to take the Signs of Allah in jest, and the life of the world deceived you:" (From) that Day, therefore, they shall not be taken out thence, nor shall they be received into Grace. {35} Then Praise be to Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth,- Lord and Cherisher of all the Worlds! {36} To Him be glory throughout the heavens and the earth: and He is Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom! {37}

(Surah  Al-JathiyaVerse 27 To 37)

Monday, 4 June 2012

Blessed is He who, if that were His will, could give thee better (things) than those,- Gardens beneath which rivers flow; and He could give thee palaces (secure to dwell in). {10} Nay they deny the hour (of the judgment to come): but We have prepared a blazing fire for such as deny the hour: {11} When it sees them from a place fAr off, they will hear its fury and its ranging sigh. {12} And when they are cast, bound together into a constricted place therein, they will pLead for destruction there and then! {13} "This day plead not for a single destruction: plead for destruction oft-repeated!" {14} Say: "Is that best, or the eternal garden, promised to the righteous? for them, that is a reward as well as a goal (of attainment). {15} "For them there will be therein all that they wish for: they will dwell (there) for aye: A promise to be prayed for from thy Lord." {16} The day He will gather them together as well as those whom they worship besides Allah, He will ask: "Was it ye who let these My servants astray, or did they stray from the Path themselves?" {17} They will say: "Glory to Thee! not meet was it for us that we should take for protectors others besides Thee: But Thou didst bestow, on them and their fathers, good things (in life), until they forgot the Message: for they were a people (worthless and) lost." {18} (Allah will say): "Now have they proved you liars in what ye say: so ye cannot avert (your penalty) nor (get) help." And whoever among you does wrong, him shall We cause to taste of a grievous Penalty. {19} And the messengers whom We sent before thee were all (men) who ate food and walked through the streets: We have made some of you as a trial for others: will ye have patience? for Allah is One Who sees (all things). {20}

Because they contended against Allah and His Messenger

Remember He covered you with a sort of drowsiness, to give you calm as from Himself, and he caused rain to descend on you from heaven, to clean you therewith, to remove from you the stain of Satan, to strengthen your hearts, and to plant your feet firmly therewith. {11} Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them." {12} This because they contended against Allah and His Messenger: If any contend against Allah and His Messenger, Allah is strict in punishment. {13} Thus (will it be said): "Taste ye then of the (punishment): for those who resist Allah, is the penalty of the Fire." {14} O ye who believe! when ye meet the Unbelievers in hostile array, never turn your backs to them. {15} If any do turn his back to them on such a day - unless it be in a stratagem of war, or to retreat to a troop (of his own)- he draws on himself the wrath of Allah, and his abode is Hell,- an evil refuge (indeed)! {16} It is not ye who slew them; it was Allah: when thou threwest (a handful of dust), it was not thy act, but Allah's: in order that He might test the Believers by a gracious trial from Himself: for Allah is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things). {17} That, and also because Allah is He Who makes feeble the plans and stratagem of the Unbelievers. {18} (O Unbelievers!) if ye prayed for victory and judgment, now hath the judgment come to you: if ye desist (from wrong), it will be best for you: if ye return (to the attack), so shall We. Not the least good will your forces be to you even if they were multiplied: for verily Allah is with those who believe! {19}

It is against his own soul

We certainly gave Moses the Book aforetime: but disputes arose therein. Had it not been for a Word that went forth before from thy Lord, (their differences) would have been settled between them: but they remained in suspicious disquieting doubt thereon. {45} Whoever works righteousness benefits his own soul; whoever works evil, it is against his own soul: nor is thy Lord ever unjust (in the least) to His Servants. {46} To Him is referred the Knowledge of the Hour (of Judgment: He knows all): No date-fruit comes out of its sheath, nor does a female conceive (within her womb) nor bring forth the Day that (Allah) will propound to them the (question), "Where are the partners (ye attributed to Me?" They will say, "We do assure thee not one of us can bear witness!" {47} The (deities) they used to invoke aforetime will leave them in the lurch, and they will perceive that they have no way of escape. {48} Man does not weary of asking for good (things), but if ill touches him, he gives up all hope (and) is lost in despair. {49} When we give him a taste of some Mercy from Ourselves, after some adversity has touched him, he is sure to say, "This is due to my (merit): I think not that the Hour (of Judgment) will (ever) be established; but if I am brought back to my Lord, I have (much) good (stored) in His sight!" But We will show the Unbelievers the truth of all that they did, and We shall give them the taste of a severe Penalty. {50} When We bestow favours on man, he turns away, and gets himself remote on his side (instead of coming to Us); and when evil seizes him, (he comes) full of prolonged prayer! {51} Say: "See ye if the (Revelation) is (really) from Allah, and yet do ye reject it? Who is more astray than one who is in a schism far (from any purpose)?" {52} Soon will We show them our Signs in the (furthest) regions (of the earth), and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth. Is it not enough that thy Lord doth witness all things? {53} Ah indeed! Are they in doubt concerning the Meeting with their Lord? Ah indeed! It is He that doth encompass all things! {54}

(Surah Fussilat)

My Lord hath honoured me.

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
By the break of Day
{1} By the Nights twice five; {2} By the even and odd (contrasted); {3} And by the Night when it passeth away;- {4} Is there (not) in these an adjuration (or evidence) for those who understand? {5} Seest thou not how thy Lord dealt with the 'Ad (people),- {6} Of the (city of) Iram, with lofty pillars, {7} The like of which were not produced in (all) the land? {8} And with the Thamud (people), who cut out (huge) rocks in the valley?- {9} And with Pharaoh, lord of stakes? {10} (All) these transgressed beyond bounds in the lands, {11} And heaped therein mischief (on mischief). {12} Therefore did thy Lord pour on them a scourge of diverse chastisements: {13} For thy Lord is (as a Guardian) on a watch-tower. {14} Now, as for man, when his Lord trieth him, giving him honour and gifts, then saith he, (puffed up), "My Lord hath honoured me." {15} But when He trieth him, restricting his subsistence for him, then saith he (in despair), "My Lord hath humiliated me!" {16} Nay, nay! but ye honour not the orphans! {17} Nor do ye encourage one another to feed the poor!- {18} And ye devour inheritance - all with greed, {19} And ye love wealth with inordinate love! {20} Nay! When the earth is pounded to powder, {21} And thy Lord cometh, and His angels, rank upon rank, {22} And Hell, that Day, is brought (face to face),- on that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance profit him? {23} He will say: "Ah! Would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for (this) my (Future) Life!" {24} For, that Day, His Chastisement will be such as none (else) can inflict, {25} And His bonds will be such as none (other) can bind. {26} (To the righteous soul will be said:) "O (thou) soul, in (complete) rest and satisfaction! {27} "Come back thou to thy Lord,- well pleased (thyself), and well-pleasing unto Him! {28} "Enter thou, then, among My devotees! {29} "Yea, enter thou My Heaven! {30}

(Surah Al-Fajar)
